Ethics in Ministry - More Info

Posted by davidpesek on Sep 28 2022 - 2:43pm

Attention all Registered BSA and Troop Members. The Diocese of Austin requires that All volunteers that work with youth must be EIM certified. If you are a Committee Member, Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster or Merit Badge Counselor then you fall into this category. Essentially, if you are registered as a BSA Member and registered with Troop 448 then you are required to maintain your EIM certification. This is similar to YPT but not the same course. The way I view it it's more education to help us protect the youth of our unit. More will be coming this weekend but note that there is an upcoming EIM class on October 13 at St Catherine. More to come.
